Perth and Northern Outback Coastal Tour

This is the ultimate 7 day West Coast adventure. From the Metropolis of Perth to surfing the massive Sand Dunes in Lanslin, touring the amazing Pinnacles, having succulent seafood meals at coastal town of Geraldton to trekking through National Park at Kalbarri, hike to Natures Window, the Loop & the Z-bend. Stroll on Shell Beach and swim with the dolphins at Monkey Mia. Exceptional snorkeling & diving on the Ningaloo Reef before returning back to Perth.

The itinerary shown here is intended as a guide only indicating a typical itinerary & series of activities. While our intention is to adhere to the prearranged day by day route, the itinerary, distance traveled type of accommodation and available activities may vary due to personal likings, budgets, weather, road conditions & local restrictions. Early or late season treks can be affected by extreme weather.

Suggested Tour Itinerary

Day one

Depart Perth and head north through market gardens and vineyards to join up with Highways. A good map from the local tourism Bureau is all you need as Western Australian Roads are not difficult to follow as there are loads of road signs.

With the aid of map, road signs and sometime direction assistance from the locals or motorists (the Sand Groper is usually very friendly), Nambung National Park and the fascinating Pinnacles Desert are easily found and reached. After exploring these unique formations, sand boarding down these huge sand dunes, journey should continue northwards along coastal roads to Geraldton. After a dinner and short break at Geraldton, Kalbarri is next destination for overnight accommodation.

Day two

After an early rise, take a short drive to Murchison Gorge in Kalbarri National Park. Here take time to view Natures Window, the Loop and discover the wonders of the Z-Bend Gorge. At Z-Bend Gorge it is an exhilarating 150 metre descent into the heart of the gorge ¨C well worth the effort ¨C where there is time to explore and swim in the tranquil fresh water pools. For the adventurous there is even an opportunity to try your hand at abseiling (optional activity at additional cost). After a well earned lunch it??s time to make way toward Monkey Mia, stopping at the beautiful Shell Beach and then onto Denham for overnight stop.

Day three

After a short drive across the Peron Peninsula make way down to the beach and the world famous Monkey Mia dolphins ¨C its a unique experience and there are some fantastic photo opportunities. All too soon its time to continue journey northwards, stopping at a Carnarvon banana plantation where they sell yummy chocolate coated frozen bananas. From Carnarvon finish the day by driving of the highway and out to Warroora sheep station. Tonight enjoy dinner around an open fire before heading of to bed in the shearers quarters.

Day four

Today is to explore the wonders of the Ningaloo Reef and its fantastic marine widlife. You can go snorkeling, cruise on the glass bottom boat, take a quad bike tour or even a joy flight over the reef (all optional extra??s). Today is a day to relax. Late afternoon and its time for the short drive into Exmouth.

Day five

A day in Exmouth to relax. Laze on the beach or go diving (optional) or perhaps jump on the bus and tour around the area including Turquoise Bay and Yardie Creek.

Day six (back track)

A 07.00am start for the leisurely trip back to Perth with an overnight stay at Northbrook Farm stay for our last evening together.

Day seven

The final day of the tour brings back to Perth via the Hutt River Province en-route to Greenough Wildlife Park - the home of a pythom breeding centre. You will have the opportunity to handle these lovely reptiles as well as many other native animals. Late afternoon to arrive back in Perth to farewell
