76 King Long buses head for Shanghai Expo as sightseeing buses

 

 

The delivery ceremony of 76 model XMQ6126Y3 King Long buses was held in Xiamen Mar. 9, 2010

 

On 9th Mar, 53 days before the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, 76 King Long buses left Xiamen for Shanghai. These buses will serve as luxurious sightseeing buses during the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

The 76 buses are model XMQ6126Y3, and manufactured by Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry and aimed at high-end tourist transportation.

The 12-metre-long bus had won BAAV “Coach of the Year” award twice. The buses sell well for their great appearance, stability, economy and safety. All these features accord with the concepts of harmony, technology and environmental protection of Shanghai World Expo.

It is estimated that over 70 million tourists will visit Shanghai during Shanghai World Expo.

56 of them will be used only as direct buses during the Shanghai World Expo, responsible for passenger transportation from the F1 racing circuit to the back of the Pavilion site. The other 20 buses will be used for the staff of the Shanghai Expo Organizing Committee and public security staff.
